I understand that you supervise either or both Tim and Matt.  I wanted to send you a note of commendation on my recent car buying experience through the credit union. With Tim's services as my auto advocate and Matt's arrangement of the financing, my entire experience was an incredibly easy and forthright task. Tim maintained excellent communication with me through the process, including a few calls back and forth on the weekend, was patient with my questions, and did not try to push specific cars or features. Financing through Matt was also a pleasure. While I have a good credit history, there was a minimum of fuss with again, a very straightforward presentation of the conditions of financing. I particularly liked the close communication between Tim and Matt where the right hand knew where the left was during the entire process. In short, I was very leery of buying a car and arranging financing sight-unseen, from 200 miles away. I had approached our local dealer with the stated intention of buying a car locally and offered to pay several hundred dollars over the quote from Tim to do so. Our local dealer would not negotiate their price and so I went through the credit union and saved over $700 dollars. There could have been many pitfalls but Tim and Matt were exemplary in their performance. I am recommending the credit union to those I talk to about car buying.

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you helping me with this.  I couldn't be more happy with what I got and the color is perfect, it matches the interior nicely.  Also, I'll give you my address to send me some business cards so I can give one to everyone I know.  This could have been an extremely stressful experience but with you it was a breeze.  I'm pretty sure I will be driving this car for quite some time, but there is no doubt in my mind every car I buy after this will be bought through you.  Thanks a million.

And to save one of the most entertaining stories for last...

We dropped off the truck and got the new Sienna.  Everything went fine and we really like the van.

As a side note I thought you'd enjoy this story:

We pick up the van and return home, planning on going to the state fair later that day.  So around 1:30pm it starts raining like crazy here in EP.  I look at the radar and it appears to me that the storm cloud is going to rain hard and then pass on by in an hour or two, like they usually do with these summer storms. Later on it is still raining but we decide to head to the fair anyway as again it looks like it should keep moving and pass by eventually. Little did I know the rain was going to sit and spin over the entire metro area all night. 

So my pregnant wife, 2yr old daughter, pregnant sister in law, brother in law and 3 yr old nephew all pile in the new van with my wife's parents following us and we all head over to EP mall to take the bus to the fair.  The rain didn't stop so after a pretty lame time at the fair, soaked and tired, we catch the 8pm bus back to the EP mall. 

The story of that motley crew heading to the fair in the pouring rain is ridiculous enough.  Now here's the kicker:

Just as we're getting loaded back into the van, the hail comes... and pretty hard.  At this point I can't even believe it.  I've had the van for literally 9 hours and I'm getting hailed on.  After getting pummeled by pea to marble size hail for a few minutes we manage to pull under a parking garage at the mall (along with swarms of other people trying to escape).  We wait about 10 minutes and it looks like it slows a little and the hail quits so we head for home.  We get a little further and the rain starts coming so hard that other drivers are almost stopping in the middle of the highway - and the hail starts coming again harder than before.  Again, I am stunned that this storm will just not quit and keeps coming at us wave after wave. 

We plow through it with hail clanging off the top of van (all the while I'm teaching the youngsters language they shouldn't know) and stop under the last overpass and last refuge before driving the last unprotected mile to our house.  As I sit there I try not to think about what I'm going to find on the van - if and when we finally get home.  Again after several minutes it lets up a little and the hail appears to stop so we make the final dash for home.  And again the rain gets harder the minute we start going but with only taking a few more hits from small hail we make it into the garage.

Whew.  Unbelievable.  Even more unreal is that it continued on throughout the night and into the morning!  My neighbors that live down the development from me woke up to their back yards transformed into lakes. 

The end to this already too long story is that although it was loud, as far as I could tell today, none of the hail was big enough to do any damage. So nothing hurt but the ears of my nephew due to my inability to restrain myself.  I hope you enjoyed that and I hope you kept out of the way of that storm as well.
